Abuse Policy & Reporting
Maskr is a sovereign privacy platform, not an anonymity shield for bad actors. We investigate every legitimate complaint and maintain a zero-tolerance policy against bad actors.
Prohibited Activities
Accounts verified to be engaging in the following behaviors are terminated immediately without refund.
Sending unsolicited promotional, commercial, or bulk marketing emails without explicit opt-in consent.
Impersonating organizations, banks, or brands to fraudulently extract passwords, MFA codes, or financial credentials.
Distributing viruses, spyware, trojans, or malicious attachments intended to compromise systems.
Operating advance-fee fraud, romance scams, crypto scams, deceptive invoices, or illicit transactions.
Engaging in targeted cyberbullying, doxxing, stalking, intimidation, or hate speech toward individuals or groups.
Any transmission of CSAM or illegal material triggers immediate termination and expedited referral to law enforcement.
Using aliases or virtual phone numbers to repeatedly evade bans, sanctions, or suspensions on third-party platforms.
Creating automated mass accounts or exploiting endpoints to bypass quota gates and billing limits.
How to Submit an Abuse Report
The more technical evidence you include, the faster our security operators can trace and quarantine the offending mask:
- Full Email Headers: Include the complete message headers (in Gmail, click
...→ Show original). This provides the cryptographic signatures needed to verify the relay path. - The Maskr Alias: The exact address ending in
@maskr.onlineor user subdomain that sent the transmission. - Nature of the Incident: A brief description explaining whether the message constituted phishing, spam, malicious links, or harassment.
- Timestamps & Timezone: Exact timestamps allow us to reconcile AWS SES telemetry logs instantly.
Our SLA & Response Commitment
All abuse inquiries received at abuse@maskr.online receive an initial human acknowledgement within 24 hours. Confirmed abusive aliases are blocked from the network within 72 hours.
Proactive Abuse Prevention
We do not rely on complaints alone. Our pipeline is engineered from the ground up to prevent malicious exploitation:
We stream delivery receipts directly from AWS SES. Any alias exceeding a 5% bounce or 0.2% complaint threshold is automatically frozen.
Inbound HTML emails are stripped of tracking pixels and beacon scripts before dispatch to protect end-user safety.
Every account is locked to tight burst rate limits (max 5 emails/min) to eliminate the risk of automated spam waves.
We reject spoofed inbound messages that fail cryptographic origin checks, preventing spoofers from abusing user aliases.
Users must cryptographically verify ownership of their real destination address before any forwarding takes place.
Our operations HQ maintains the ability to instantly pause any alias, phone line, or user account across our fleet in seconds.
Law Enforcement & Subpoena Requests
Maskr complies with valid legal processes in accordance with applicable laws. Law enforcement agencies investigating criminal activity or imminent physical danger should direct formal court orders or preservation requests to legal@maskr.online.
Note: Because Maskr uses a RAM-only forwarding pipeline without storing email bodies or attachments, historical message contents cannot be produced under any circumstances.
