What is Maskr and how does it protect me?
A plain-English overview of email masks, phone masks and what Maskr does behind the scenes.
Maskr gives you a different private email address (a mask) for every website you sign up to. Mail sent to a mask is forwarded to your real inbox, so the website never learns your real address.
Why that matters
- If a site leaks or sells your address, you know exactly who did it and can switch that one mask off.
- Sites can't link your accounts together using one shared email address.
- Spam stops at the mask. Pause or delete it and the noise is gone.
Paid plans add anonymous replies, tracker removal, privacy subdomains and virtual phone numbers. See plan limits for the exact breakdown.
Maskr relays messages through memory and does not store the content of your emails. Read more in Are you reading my emails?.
