How to use username subdomains on the fly
Learn how to make up private addresses instantly on the spot without opening the dashboard.
With a username subdomain, you never need to open your Maskr dashboard before giving out an email. You can invent any address in real-time on any website or paper form, and Maskr handles the rest.
What your subdomain looks like
If your username is alex, your personal catch-all subdomain is `alex.maskr.online`.
How to use it on the spot (Step-by-Step)
- 1When signing up for a service (e.g. Netflix, Spotify, or a local store), make up an address on the fly:
<anything>@alex.maskr.online(e.g.netflix@alex.maskr.onlineorrewards@alex.maskr.online). - 2Submit the form. The service sends its confirmation email to that address.
- 3Maskr catches the incoming message, automatically provisions the mask on the fly, labels it with the service name, and forwards it directly to your verified inbox.
- 4The new mask immediately appears under Dashboard → Email Masks, where you can pause, edit, or track it like any other mask.
Alternative: The dot format
If a legacy website has an overly strict form validator that doesn't accept subdomains, you can use the dot format instead: <anything>.alex@maskr.online (for example netflix.alex@maskr.online). Both formats deliver straight to your inbox.
Replying from your subdomain masks
When you reply to an email sent to netflix@alex.maskr.online directly from your Gmail or Apple Mail inbox, Maskr automatically rewrites the sender headers so Netflix sees your reply coming from netflix@alex.maskr.online — your real email remains 100% hidden.
